A spoken word inspired by bullying, judgment, and any of those things in this world we all need to treat as they deserve. Never let it affect you, Because to hurt others is truly pointless.

Words:
“We all wear a blank slate,
Staring into the mirror and practicing your fake face,
because you’re sick of all the questions asking why you’re never smiling,
so you put on a mask for awhile but get home and then break,
when before you’d simply crack,
now you’re crumbling down to nothing but blank space,
because you don’t even feel tangible,
despite feeling the weight of the thoughts on your shoulders,
causing you a lack of sleep,
and I know it feels the pressure was all from yourself
but you’d never have these f*cking thoughts if it wasn’t for someone else,
pointing out the things that they knew would f*cking pull you down,
make you think you’re something other than perfect,
because I swear to god we’re all born perfect until we’re told otherwise.
Why did we have to get hurt and pushed into a disguise?
If I was sad right now I’d f*cking cry
because tears are beautiful if they’re asking for a caring eye,
to come through and make you smile instead of staying inside,
this f*cking bubble and living inside your pain until you f*cking crumble.
There’s nothing beautiful about making someone feel like they’re just crumb,
an insignificant speck of dust,
floating around pointlessly until they dissipate into something less than nothing.
We are all important,
we are all perfect,
Beauty by definition is to please the senses or mind,
and I swear to god ever since you were born,
ever since there were thoughts in your mind,
you were pleased.
You were pleased.
So please, don’t forget,
no matter what you’ve thought,
what you’ve been told,
you are beautiful from your head,
to your toes.
From the day you were born,
to the day that you go.
There is nothing you have to hold,
inside yourself,
just let it flow,
until one day,
the water turns from black…
to blue.”
